Ingredients
  • 1 large Red onion (thinly sliced)
  • ¾ cup Gram flour
  • ¼ cup Rice flour
  • 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • ¾ tsp Ground coriander/cumin mix
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala
  • ¾ tsp Red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Raw fennel seeds (crushed)
  • 1 Green chili (chopped or to taste)
  • 2 tsps Ginger (grated)
  • 2 tbsps Green coriander (finely chopped)
  • 6 Curry leaves (limdi finely chopped )
  • Oil (for frying)
Instructions
  1. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, squeeze as you mix to release onion juice to help bind.
  2. Heat oil on medium-high heat and drop handfuls of mixture in heated oil.
  3. Deep-fry until golden brown.
  4. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
