Cutlets

Ingredients
- 2 cups Mashed potatoes (4 medium potatoes)
- ¼ cup Carrots (grated, steamed)
- ½ cup Green peas (steamed)
- ½ cup Onion (finely chopped )
- 2 Green chilies (finely chopped or to taste)
- 1 tbsp Ginger (crushed)
- ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
- 2 tbsps Green coriander (finely chopped )
- ¾ tsp Salt (or to taste )
- ½ tsp Ground cumin
- ½ tsp Garam masala
- ¼ tsp Amchur powder
- ¼ tsp Turmeric
- 3 Slices of bread (crumbled)
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl mix potatoes with the remaining ingredients, mix well.
- Divide into 10 equal parts.
- With greased hands, make about a ¼ inch thick oval patties.
Batter/Coating
Ingredients
- 2 tbsps All purpose flour
- Water
- Semolina or bread crumbs (for coating)
Instructions
- Mix flour and water to make a very thin, lump free slurry.
- Gently dip patty in the slurry, coating it completely.
- Dredge the patty in semolina or breadcrumbs.
- Prepare all the cutlets.
- Deep-fry on medium-high heat until golden and crispy.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel.
