Ingredients
  • 2 cups Mashed potatoes (4 medium potatoes)
  • ¼ cup Carrots (grated, steamed)
  • ½ cup Green peas (steamed)
  • ½ cup Onion (finely chopped )
  • 2 Green chilies (finely chopped or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (crushed)
  • ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tbsps Green coriander (finely chopped )
  • ¾ tsp Salt (or to taste )
  • ½ tsp Ground cumin
  • ½ tsp Garam masala
  • ¼ tsp Amchur powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • 3 Slices of bread (crumbled)
  • Oil (for frying)
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl mix potatoes with the remaining ingredients, mix well.
  2. Divide into 10 equal parts.
  3. With greased hands, make about a ¼ inch thick oval patties.
Batter/Coating
Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps All purpose flour
  • Water
  • Semolina or bread crumbs (for coating)
Instructions
  1. Mix flour and water to make a very thin, lump free slurry.
  2. Gently dip patty in the slurry, coating it completely.
  3. Dredge the patty in semolina or breadcrumbs.
  4. Prepare all the cutlets.
  5. Deep-fry on medium-high heat until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
