Ingredients
  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • ½ tsp Salt (optional)
Instructions
  1. Combine salt in flour.
  2. Rub oil in flour, then using hot water, bind to make a soft dough.
  3. Knead until smooth and pliable.
  4. Coat dough with a little ghee or oil. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Divide dough into 8 equal size balls. Roll rotis, using all purpose flour for dusting, about 6-7 inch diameter circles. Dust off excess flour.
  6. Heat griddle on medium heat, place roti on griddle to cook.
  7. When bubbles appear, turn over and roast for a few seconds.
  8. Then turn roti over onto an open flame to puff it up.
  9. Remove from heat and spread butter or ghee on it. Can puff on a wire rack.
