Ingredients
  • 1 cup Gram flour
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp Coriander seeds (coarse crushed)
  • ½ tsp Black peppercorns (coarse crushed)
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • ¼ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 tsp Green chillies (crushed, to taste)
  • 1 tsp Ginger (crushed)
  • ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • ½ cup Green methi (finely chopped)
  • 1 Banana (over ripe/grated)
  • Oil (for frying)
Instructions
  1. Combine all the ingredients and make a thick paste, using little water.
  2. Let rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil on medium heat, pour 2 tablespoons of hot oil in the paste and stir vigorously.
  4. Drop small dollops of the paste in the oil and deep-fry, they will puff up.
  5. Can be any odd shape, stir to evenly brown.
  6. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
