Green Methi (Fenugreek) Pakora
Ingredients
- 1 cup Gram flour
- 1 tsp Red chili powder (or to taste)
- 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp Coriander seeds (coarse crushed)
- ½ tsp Black peppercorns (coarse crushed)
- ½ tsp Sugar
- ¼ tsp Turmeric
- ¼ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
- 1 tsp Green chillies (crushed, to taste)
- 1 tsp Ginger (crushed)
- ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
- ½ cup Green methi (finely chopped)
- 1 Banana (over ripe/grated)
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients and make a thick paste, using little water.
- Let rest for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil on medium heat, pour 2 tablespoons of hot oil in the paste and stir vigorously.
- Drop small dollops of the paste in the oil and deep-fry, they will puff up.
- Can be any odd shape, stir to evenly brown.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel.
