Ingredients
  • 6 Rotis (substitute 2 rotlas or 4 slices of bread)
  • ½ cup Plain yogurt
  • ¾ cup Water
  • 1 tsp Green chilies (crushed to taste)
  • ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • ½ tsp Ginger (crushed)
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Sugar
Instructions
  1. Tear roti, rotla or bread into 1 inch pieces.
  2. In a saucepan, do the tempering on medium heat.
  3. Heat oil and ghee add mustard and cumin, when crackled add the hing and curry leaves.
  4. Add the torn pieces, stir until a little crisp and golden in color.
  5. Whisk the yogurt with water, add the condiments.
  6. Pour in the roti, stir and simmer on low heat until slightly thickened and soft.
  7. Remove from heat. Garnish and serve immediately.
Tempering
Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps Oil
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • ⅛ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
  • 8 Curry leaves
  • Green coriander (finely chopped for garnishing)
