Ingredients
  • 4 Uncooked khichiyas (broken into 2 inch pieces)
  • 3 tbsps Oil
  • ½ cup Onion (chopped)
  • 2 cups Water (hot)
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Add onions and sauté until browned but not burnt.
  3. Add the khichiya pieces, stir to coat with oil and immediately add hot water.
  4. Bring to a boil then cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Water should be almost all absorbed and khichiya should be soft.
  6. For a little gravy, add hot water.
  7. Remove from heat.
