Khichiya Nu Shaak
Ingredients
- 4 Uncooked khichiyas (broken into 2 inch pieces)
- 3 tbsps Oil
- ½ cup Onion (chopped)
- 2 cups Water (hot)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large saucepan on medium heat.
- Add onions and sauté until browned but not burnt.
- Add the khichiya pieces, stir to coat with oil and immediately add hot water.
- Bring to a boil then cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Water should be almost all absorbed and khichiya should be soft.
- For a little gravy, add hot water.
- Remove from heat.
