Ingredients
  • 2 cups Rice flour
  • 3½ cups Water
  • 1½ tsp Sanchoro
  • 2 tsps Salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Ajmo
  • 2 tsps Sesame seeds
  • ½ cup Green coriander (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Green chilies (crushed to taste)
  • 1 tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tbsp Oil
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, boil water with sanchoro, salt, cumin and ajmo for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Reduce heat to low, add sesame seeds, coriander, chilies, garlic and oil. Mix.
  3. Gradually add the flour and stir continuously until thickened to a dough.
  4. Remove from heat. Empty into a large dish and mix well, dough should be very soft.
  5. Prepare and heat a steamer.
  6. Divide dough into 8 balls and make 6 inch long cylinders.
  7. Place in a greased steamer plate and steam for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat, let cool slightly.
  9. Cut thick slices and serve with oil and athana masala.
