Ingredients
- 2 cups Rice flour
- 3½ cups Water
- 1½ tsp Sanchoro
- 2 tsps Salt (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Ajmo
- 2 tsps Sesame seeds
- ½ cup Green coriander (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Green chilies (crushed to taste)
- 1 tsp Garlic (crushed)
- 1 tbsp Oil
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, boil water with sanchoro, salt, cumin and ajmo for 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, add sesame seeds, coriander, chilies, garlic and oil. Mix.
- Gradually add the flour and stir continuously until thickened to a dough.
- Remove from heat. Empty into a large dish and mix well, dough should be very soft.
- Prepare and heat a steamer.
- Divide dough into 8 balls and make 6 inch long cylinders.
- Place in a greased steamer plate and steam for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly.
- Cut thick slices and serve with oil and athana masala.
