Stick Gathiya
Ingredients
- 2 cups Besan (sifted)
- 2 tbsps Oil
- 1 tsp Ajmo (slightly crush between hands )
- 1 tsp Red chili powder (or to taste)
- ⅓ tsp White chili powder
- 1¼ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- ⅛ tsp Turmeric
- ½ tsp Ground black pepper
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix oil in the besan.
- Add the remaining ingredients and make a soft dough using cold water.
- Keep kneading until the dough is smooth and lighter in color.
- Wet hands occasionally to prevent dough from sticking to your hands.
- Spray oil in the sev sancha machine.
- With the gathiya disc installed, fill the dough and close the lid.
- Heat oil on medium high heat.
- Hold machine over the hot oil and make gathiya.
- Fry until golden.
- Carefully turn over and continue frying.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel.
- Continue until all the dough is finished.
