Ingredients
  • 2 cups Besan (sifted)
  • 2 tbsps Oil
  • 1 tsp Ajmo (slightly crush between hands )
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder (or to taste)
  • ⅓ tsp White chili powder
  • 1¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Ground black pepper
  • Oil (for frying)
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix oil in the besan.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and make a soft dough using cold water.
  3. Keep kneading until the dough is smooth and lighter in color.
  4. Wet hands occasionally to prevent dough from sticking to your hands.
  5. Spray oil in the sev sancha machine.
  6. With the gathiya disc installed, fill the dough and close the lid.
  7. Heat oil on medium high heat.
  8. Hold machine over the hot oil and make gathiya.
  9. Fry until golden.
  10. Carefully turn over and continue frying.
  11. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
  12. Continue until all the dough is finished.
