Ingredients
  • 3 Medium potatoes (boiled, peeled & mashed)
  • 2½ cups Besan
  • 2 tbsps Oil
  • ¼ tsp Citric acid (or 1 tsp lemon juice)
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1¾ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coarse ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp Ajmo
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • Oil (for frying)
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix oil in besan.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and make a soft dough using cold water, only if needed.
  3. Knead until the dough is smooth.
  4. Spray oil in the sev sancha machine.
  5. With the gathiya disc installed, fill the dough and close the lid.
  6. Heat oil on medium high heat.
  7. Hold the machine over the hot oil and make gathiya.
  8. Fry until golden.
  9. Carefully turn over and continue frying.
  10. Remove and drain on a paper towel.
  11. Continue until all dough is finished.
