Papad Pauva
Ingredients
- 2 cups Thin pauva
- ⅛ tsp Turmeric
- ½ tsp Salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp Powdered sugar
- ½ tsp Garlic powder (more if using plain papad)
- ½ tsp White chili powder
- 2 Roasted papad (preferably garlic)
- 4 tsps Oil (separated)
- ¼ cup Raw peanuts
- 10 Curry leaves
- 2 tbsps Daria
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a large saucepan heat 2 tsp oil on medium low heat and roast the pauva, stirring continuously.
- Add turmeric as it begins to turn golden.
- Add salt, mix and empty into a dish.
- Sprinkle sugar, garlic powder and chili powder and mix well.
- In the same saucepan, heat the remaining oil on low heat.
- Fry the peanuts, stirring until golden brown.
- Add curry leaves, daria and sesame seeds.
- Stir for a few seconds and remove from the heat.
- Add pauva and mix thoroughly.
- Break papad in small pieces and combine with the pauva mixture.
