Ingredients
  • 5 lbs Potatoes
  • 1 cup Raw peanuts
  • ½ cup Raw Cashews
  • 2 cups Chana dal (fried)
  • 1½ tsp Sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp Khus-khus
  • 3 Green chilies (sliced into thin circles)
  • 15 Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • Oil (for frying)
Instructions
  1. Peel and grate potatoes like matchsticks, wash and pat dry.
  2. Fry on low to medium heat until crisp and golden.
  3. Fry peanuts, cashews, chilies and curry leaves.
  4. Mix with chips.
  5. Add chana dal, sesame seeds, khu-khus, salt and turmeric, mix.
Sugar Syrup
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • ⅓ cup Lemon juice
Instructions
  1. Combine sugar and water, boil on low heat until it begins to thicken (about 15 minutes).
  2. Add lemon juice, stir and remove from heat.
  3. Let cool to lukewarm then pour onto the chips mixture and coat thoroughly.
  4. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
