Ingredients
  • 2 cups All purpose flour
  • ½ cup Semolina
  • 3 tbsps Oil/ghee mixture
  • 1½ tsp Salt
  • 1½ tsp Coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds or caraway seeds
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric
  • Oil (for frying)
Instructions
  1. Combine oil mixture with the flour and semolina.
  2. Add the spices and mix.
  3. Using room temperature water, make a hard dough and knead to smooth.
  4. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Make marble size balls and roll thin puris, about 3 inch in diameter.
  6. Prick each puri with a fork.
  7. Fry on low heat until crisp.
  8. Drain on a paper towel.
  9. Cool and store in an airtight container.
