Mixed Sprouts
Ingredients
- 2 cups Mixed sprouts (moong, chana, muth, etc.,recipe under "miscellaneous")
- ¼ cup Onions (chopped)
- ¼ cup Tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 tsp Ground coriander/cumin mix
- ¼ tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
- ¼ tsp Sugar
- ½ tsp Green chilies (crushed, or to taste )
- ½ tsp Ginger (crushed)
- ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- Green coriander (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a pressure cooker, heat oil on medium for tempering, add dry red chilies.
- As it browns, add mustard seeds.
- Once crackled add turmeric and hing, then add chopped onions.
- Sauté for a minute, add tomatoes.
- Cook until tomatoes are soft.
- Add sprouts and seasonings, stir.
- Add ½ cup of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles (5 minutes in IP).
- Turn off the heat, let cool and open.
- Garnish with chopped green coriander.
Tempering

- 2 tbsps Oil
- 2 whole Dry red chilies
- ¾ tsp Mustard seeds
- ¼ tsp Turmeric
- ⅛ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
