Ingredients
  • 2 cups Mixed sprouts (moong, chana, muth, etc.,recipe under "miscellaneous")
  • ¼ cup Onions (chopped)
  • ¼ cup Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Ground coriander/cumin mix
  • ¼ tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Green chilies (crushed, or to taste )
  • ½ tsp Ginger (crushed)
  • ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Green coriander (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
  1. In a pressure cooker, heat oil on medium for tempering, add dry red chilies.
  2. As it browns, add mustard seeds.
  3. Once crackled add turmeric and hing, then add chopped onions.
  4. Sauté for a minute, add tomatoes.
  5. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  6. Add sprouts and seasonings, stir.
  7. Add ½ cup of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles (5 minutes in IP).
  8. Turn off the heat, let cool and open.
  9. Garnish with chopped green coriander.

  • 2 whole Dry red chilies
  • ¾ tsp Mustard seeds
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • ⅛ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
