Ingredients
  • 15 White pickling onions (peeled, washed and cut in half)
  • ½ cup Red potato (1 medium potato, washed and cubed)
  • 2 tbsps Oil
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
Stuffing
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup Raw peanuts (coarsely ground)
  • ½ cup Green coriander (finely chopped)
  • 3 tsps Ground coriander/cumin mix
  • ¾ tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • ¼ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1½ tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • ½ tsp Ginger (crushed)
  • ⅛ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
  • 2 tbsps Oil
Instructions
  1. Mix the stuffing ingredients together in a dish.
  2. In a saucepan place oil and cumin seeds, add the vegetables and stuffing.
  3. Mix thoroughly then add a cup of water.
  4. Cover and cook on low-medium heat until done.
  5. Add more water if more gravy is required. Adjust the seasonings.
  6. There should be a generous amount of thick gravy.
  7. Can pressure cook for 2 whistles.
