Cabbage

Ingredients
- 2 cups Cabbage (shredded)
- 1½ tsp Ground coriander/cumin mix
- ½ tsp Red chili powder
- ½ tsp Salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp Green chilies or to taste (crushed)
- ½ tsp Ginger (crushed)
- ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
- ¼ tsp Sugar
Instructions
- Shred the cabbage and soak in salted water for 10 minutes.
- Squeeze the water out of the cabbage.
- In a saucepan, heat oil on medium high for tempering.
- Add the mustard and cumin seeds.
- When crackled, add turmeric, hing then cabbage.
- Stir and add the seasonings, mix well.
Tempering
Ingredients
- 2 tbsps Oil
- ½ tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp Cmin seeds
- ¼ tsp Turmeric
- ⅛ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
Variations
Ingredients
- ½ cup Green bell peppers (sliced)
- ½ cup Peas (boiled)
- ½ cup Potatoes (thinly sliced)
- ¼ cup Carrots (grated)
Instructions
- Add any of these vegetables to the cabbage.
- Adjust the seasoning to taste.
