Kand (Ratalu)
Ingredients
- 2 cups Kand (peeled, cubed and steamed)
- 2 tsps Ginger (crushed)
- 2 tbsps Peanuts (roasted and coarsely crushed)
- ¾ tsp Salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- ½ tsp Green chilies (crushed, to taste )
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- Sesame seeds (for sprinkling)
- Green coriander (finely chopped for garnish)
Instructions
- In a frying pan, heat oil on medium, add cumin seeds.
- When crackled, add limdi and ginger.
- Stir and add kand and the remaining ingredients, except lemon juice.
- Mix and cook covered on low heat for a couple of minutes to incorporate the seasonings.
- Drizzle lemon juice and some water if too dry.
- Stir and sprinkle sesame seeds and green coriander.

- 3 Curry leaves (limdi)
