Cauliflower
Ingredients
- 2 cups Cauliflower florets (cut small and rinsed )
- 1 tsp Ground coriander/cumin mix
- ¾ tsp Salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp Green chilies (crushed, to taste )
- ½ tsp Ginger (crushed)
- ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
- ¼ tsp Sugar
Instructions
- In a frying pan, heat oil on medium high for tempering.
- Add mustard seeds, when crackled add turmeric, hing then cauliflower.
- Stir and add the seasonings, mix well.
- Cover and cook on low heat until soft and cooked.
- Stir occasionally.
- Variations: along with cauliflower add a choice of : ½ C boiled peas; ½ C boiled tuvar; ½ C broccoli; ¼ C sliced carrots. ¼ C tomatoes can be added with any combination.
Tempering
Ingredients
- 2 tbsps Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- ¼ tsp Turmeric
- ⅛ tsp Hing
Variations
Ingredients
- ½ cup Peas (boiled)
- ½ cup Tuvar
- ½ cup Brocolli
- ¼ cup Carrots (sliced)
- ¼ cup Tomatoes
Instructions
- Along with the cauliflower, add your choice of vegetable.
- Tomatoes can be added to any combination.
