Murabba
Ingredients
- Totapuri mangoes (turned slightly yellow)
- Cardamom seeds
- Cinnamon sticks
- Cloves
- Saffron strands
- Sugar
- Cumin seeds
- Chili powder (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and grate the mangoes and weigh it.
- Add equal weight of sugar, mix and cover. Let stand until sugar is melted.
- Place in a heavy bottom saucepan and simmer on low heat until thickened enough to form one strand consistency.
- To test, place a small drop of syrup on a plate, touch with finger and slowly lift finger, a single strand should be visible.
- Add the remaining ingredients in desired quantity, stir and remove from heat.
- Let cool, store in an airtight container.
