Ingredients
  • 3 Lemons (cut into 12 pieces)
  • 2 tsps Salt
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 tsps Ground coriander/cumin mix
  • 1¼ tsp Sugar
  • ⅓ cup Water
  • ½ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
Instructions
  1. Rub lemon pieces with1 tsp salt and ½ tsp turmeric. Let marinate in a covered container for 2 months. Toss daily.
  2. Then rinse in a strainer and steam, keeping pieces separate.
  3. Combine sugar and water, boil for about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, add lemons, let cool to warm.
  5. Mix the remaining ingredients, cool completely and store in an airtight container.
