Peas Vagariyu
Ingredients
- 1 lb Green peas in shell (washed and deveined)
- 2 tbsps Oil
- 1 tsp Ajmo
- ¼ cup Coconut (grated, substitute desiccated)
- ⅓ cup Raw peanuts (crushed)
- 1 tbsp Ground coriander/cumin mix
- Salt (to taste)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Green chilies (crushed, or to taste)
- 2 tsps Garlic (crushed)
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
- ½ cup Green coriander (finely chopped)
Instructions
- In a deep frypan, heat oil on medium. Add ajmo.
- When crackled, add all the ingredients except peas, and sauté for 30 seconds. Add the peas and toss well.
- Cover and cook on low heat until almost done, toss often.
- Uncover and finish cooking.
- It should be moist and dry.
- Note: can add cubed potatoes, sweet potatoes and purple yam (kand). Adjust spices to taste.
