Ingredients

Cauliflower
(about 1 lb, cut into medium florets)

Cornstarch

Ground black pepper

Ginger
(crushed)

Garlic
(crushed)

Onions
(finely chopped)
½ cup
Green bell pepper
(finely chopped)
1 Tbsp
Ketchup
½ tsp
Chili sauce
1½ tsp
Soy sauce
Green onions
(finely chopped, for garnish)
Oil
(for frying)
Instructions

In a saucepan, combine water and salt and bring to a boil.

Add the cauliflower, boil for a couple of minutes.

Drain and rinse under cold water and pat dry.

In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, ½ tsp garlic and 1 tsp ginger with water to make a smooth thick runny batter.

Heat frying oil on medium heat, dip florets in batter and fry until golden brown.

Drain on a paper towel.

In a frying pan, heat oil on medium high heat.

Add onions and the remaining ginger and garlic and sauté for a minute then add bell peppers and stir.

Incorporate the remaining ingredients, stir and simmer for 3 minutes.

Add the fried florets, stir to coat well.

Garnish before serving.
