Ingredients
- ½ cup Ghee
- 1 cup Fine semonlina (sooji)
- 10 Golden raisins
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Water
- ¾ cup Sugar (to taste)
- ¾ tsp Ground cardamom
- 4 Almonds (sliced - garnish)
- 4 Raw pistachios (sliced - garnish)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt ghee on low heat, add sooji and raisins.
- Stir continuously until color begins to change and aromatic.
- Carefully and gradually pour hot milk, stir. Cover and simmer on low heat, until the milk is absorbed (about 5 minutes).
- Add sugar and cardamom, mix well until the syrup is absorbed and ghee comes up.
- Garnish.
Variation
- Add ½ cup of pineapple purée when adding sugar, adjust sugar quantity to your taste.
