Ingredients
  • 2 cups Whole milk
  • ½ cup Tapioca
  • ¼ cup Sugar (to taste)
  • ¼ tsp Ground cardamom (substitute - nutmeg)
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tbsp Almonds (chopped - optional)
  • 1 tbsp Pistachios (raw - chopped -optional)
Instructions
  1. Wash tapioca and soak in 1 C water for 4 hours.
  2. Roast nuts in ghee, set aside. (optional).
  3. In a saucepan, heat milk on medium heat. When it starts to bubble, add tapioca (strained), stirring frequently. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until tapioca is transparent and soft.
  4. Add sugar and cardamom, keep stirring to thicken to desired consistency and to dissolve sugar.
  5. Remove from heat, incorporate the nuts.
  6. Serve hot or cold.
