Kansar
Ingredients
- 1 cup Finely cracked wheat
- 4 tsps Oil
- 2 cups Water
- Powdered sugar (to taste)
- Melted ghee
- Tulsi leaves (holy basil)
Instructions
- In a nonstick saucepan put water and 1 tsp oil, bring to a boil.
- Rub wheat with 3 tsp oil and add to water, stir and cover.
- Add wheat to water, stir and cover.
- Reduce heat to very low. Stir occasionally until soft and done.
- All water should be absorbed when cooked. Add more water if needed.
- Empty into a serving dish, sprinkle desired amount of sugar and ghee.
- Garnish with tulsi.
