Fruit Salad
Ingredients
- 2 cups Whole milk
- 1 tbsp Custard powder
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence (optional)
- ¼ tsp Ground cardamom
- Saffron (a few strands)
- Fruit (finely chopped - not sour)
- Ice cream (optional)
- Cashews (raw - chopped )
- Pistachios (raw - chopped)
- Almonds (chopped - optional)
Instructions
- Dissolve custard powder in little warm milk.
- Dissolve saffron in little warm milk
- In a heavy bottom saucepan, bring milk to a boil. Reduce heat to low, stirring continuously,
- Add sugar and custard, simmer until thickened slightly.
- Add cardamom, saffron and essence. Whisk until thickened to a desired consistency, remove from heat and let cool.
- Add fruit and refrigerate.
- Sprinkle nuts on individual servings, can also top with ice cream.
