Vanilla Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup Self rising flour (1 C all purpose flour + 2 tsp baking powder)
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- ½ cup Butter
- ½ cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
- 2 tbsps Cold water
- 9 inches Greased round cake pan
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Sift baking powder into flour, set aside.
- In a bowl beat together the butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla and mix.
- Gradually add the flour and continue beating.
- Add water and mix until creamy.
- Pour into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Cool in the pan for 15 minutes then turn it out upside down onto a rack to finish cooling.
