Ingredients
  • 2¾ cups All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1½ cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl combine flour, baking soda and baking powder.
  3. In another large bowl cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  5. Gradually blend in flour.
  6. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden.
  8. Let stand for a couple of minutes then move to a cooling rack to cool.
