Ingredients
  • 1½ cup All purpose flour
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Peanut butter (creamy)
  • Sugar (for coating)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. In a bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
  3. In another large bowl cream together butter and sugar, add egg and whisk.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  5. Make 1 inch balls from the dough and roll in sugar to coat.
  6. Place on a greased baking sheet and flatten with fork tines in a crisscross pattern.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Cool on a rack or foil.
Variation
  1. Place balls on a baking sheet 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes then immediately top each cookie with milk chocolate Hershy’s kisses.
  3. Press firmly so the cookie slightly cracks around the edges.
  4. Move to a cooling rack.
