Ingredients
  • 1 cup Ragi flour
  • 1 cup Water
  • ⅛ tsp Salt (optional)
  • ½ tsp Ghee
  • Ghee (for coating)
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan bring water to a boil, add salt.
  2. Lower heat to lowest setting. Add flour, stir and let sit for 1 minute then turn off the heat.
  3. Stir until a dough is formed. Empty into a dish, knead well using a little water. Apply ghee and knead again.
  4. Cover and set aside for five minutes then make 8 equal size balls
  5. Take one ball, knead then coat in some ragi flour and roll into a thin circle, dust off excess flour.
  6. Heat a griddle on medium heat, place roti on griddle and cook until bubbles appear. Flip, it will begin to puff up.
  7. Flip and cook both sides then coat the top with ghee and serve hot.
