Ingredients
  • 1 cup Yellow cornmeal (fine)
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • Water (hot)
  • Butter or Ghee (for coating)
Instructions
  1. Combine salt and flour, use hot water to bind and make soft dough. Knead well.
  2. Cover and set aside for ½ hour.
  3. Divide dough into 5 equal balls, press each between two pieces of plastic to a 5 inch diameter circle or dab with a wet hand.
  4. Heat a frypan on medium heat, place roti and cook.
  5. When bubbles appear, flip, drizzle ghee around the edges and cook until brown spots are visible underneath.
  6. Roti should puff up partially or fully.
  7. Remove and butter the tops, serve hot.
