Chicken Saag
Ingredients
- 1 lb Boneless skinless chicken (cubed)
- 1 tsp Oil
- ½ cup Onion (diced)
- 1 tbsp Ginger (crushed)
- 1 tbsp Garlic (crushed)
- 1½ tsp Ground coriander/cumin mix
- ⅓ tsp Red chili powder
- 1 cup Tomatoes (diced)
- ½ tsp Garam masala
- ½ tsp Kasuri methi
- 2 tbsps Cream
- ½ bunch Spinach (washed, blanched and puréed)
- ¼ tsp Turmeric
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a skillet.
- Add onions and stir.
- Add ginger and garlic, sauté on medium heat until onions are browned.
- Add coriander, turmeric, chili powder and salt, mix well.
- Add tomatoes and little bit of water.
- Cover and cook, stirring occasionally,. Should become like gravy (about 15 minutes).
- Add chicken and little bit of water, stir.
- Cover and cook until done (about 20 minutes).
- Add garam masala, kasuri methi, cream and spinach.
- Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve with rice and naan.
