Ingredients
  • 1 lb Tomatoes (washed and chopped)
  • ¼ cup Onion (chopped)
  • ¼ cup Green corainder (chopped)
  • ½ tsp Green chilies (crushed/to taste)
  • ¾ tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • ¾ tsp Ground cumin
  • ⅛ tsp Ground cloves
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric
  • 2 tbsps Ketchup
Instructions
  1. Combine tomatoes, onions, coriander, chilies and garlic in a food processor and crush as smooth as possible, do not add water.
Tempering
Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • ½ tsp Mustard seeds
  • ⅛ tsp Asafoetida (hing)
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan do the tempering, on low-medium heat.
  2. Add the tomatoes, stir and bring to a boil then reduce heat to low.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients, cover and simmer until the tomatoes are cooked and oil begins to separate.
  4. Add water for desired consistency.
  5. Serve with french bread.
