Ingredients
  • ¼ cup Walnuts (chopped)
  • ¼ cup Almonds (raw/chopped)
  • ¼ cup Cashews (raw/chopped)
  • ¼ cup Pistachios (unsalted/chopped)
  • 1½ cup Dates (pitted/chopped)
  • 3 tbsps Raisins (chopped)
  • 2 tbsps Poppy seeds (dry roast for 30 seconds)
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan dry roast the nuts on medium heat for a couple of minutes, set aside.
  2. Heat ghee in the saucepan and cook the dates for about 10 minutes, stirring and pressing with a spoon to make it soft and pulpy.
  3. Reduce heat and add nuts and raisins, mix thoroughly, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Grease palms of your hands with ghee and roll the mixture on a flat surface into a log as thick as you wish.
  5. Move the log aside, sprinkle poppyseeds on a flat surface and roll the log on it to coat completely.
  6. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour then cut half inch thick slices.
