Ingredients
  • 4 tbsps Sesame seeds
  • ⅔ cup Ghee
  • 2 cups Wheat flour
  • 1 cup Gor
  • ¼ cup Milk (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, roast sesame seeds on low heat for a couple of minutes. Empty into a dish and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt ½ cup ghee.
  3. Add flour and stir continuously until reddish in color and fragrant, empty into a dish.
  4. Melt the remaining ghee, add gor. When melted, add flour and sesame seeds, mix thoroughly.
  5. Note: add milk if desired to make soft gor papdi.
  6. Ghee should begin to separate. Remove from heat and empty into a 9 inch round tray, about ½ inch deep.
  7. Tap dough down well and spread evenly.
  8. When slightly cooled, cut into diamond shapes. Store in an airtight container when cooled completely.
