Gor Papdi
Ingredients
- 4 tbsps Sesame seeds
- ⅔ cup Ghee
- 2 cups Wheat flour
- 1 cup Gor
- ¼ cup Milk (optional)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, roast sesame seeds on low heat for a couple of minutes. Empty into a dish and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt ½ cup ghee.
- Add flour and stir continuously until reddish in color and fragrant, empty into a dish.
- Melt the remaining ghee, add gor. When melted, add flour and sesame seeds, mix thoroughly.
- Note: add milk if desired to make soft gor papdi.
- Ghee should begin to separate. Remove from heat and empty into a 9 inch round tray, about ½ inch deep.
- Tap dough down well and spread evenly.
- When slightly cooled, cut into diamond shapes. Store in an airtight container when cooled completely.
