Ingredients
  • 15 Dry red chilies (some seeds removed)
  • ¼ cup Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (crushed)
  • 2 tbsps Garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tbsps Onion paste
  • ¼ tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Green coriander (chopped)
  • 2 tbsps Tomato ketchup
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 2 tsps Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
Instructions
  1. Soak chilies in 1 cup of hot water for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain and blend to a smooth paste using little water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat.
  4. Add ginger, garlic and onions, stir and sauté until the color begins to change.
  5. Add chili paste and the remaining ingredients, except vinegar and soy sauce, mix and simmer on low heat.
  6. Add water as needed to make a thick sauce.
  7. Simmer until the oil begins to separate, add the vinegar and soy sauce.
  8. Continue simmering for a couple of minutes then remove from heat.
  9. Cool and store.
