Ingredients
  • 2 cups Thin pauva
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp Powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder (more if using plain papad)
  • ½ tsp White chili powder (or to taste)
  • 2 Roasted papad (preferably garlic flavored)
  • 2 tbsps Oil
  • ¼ cup Raw peanuts
  • 10 Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsps Daria
  • 2 tsps Sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan heat 1 tbsp oil on low heat and add turmeric and salt.
  2. Stir and add pauva and roast, stirring continuously.
  3. Once crispy and the color begins to change, empty into a dish.
  4. Sprinkle sugar, garlic powder and chili powder and mix well.
  5. In the same saucepan, heat the remaining oil on low heat.
  6. Fry the peanuts, stirring until golden brown.
  7. Add curry leaves, daria and sesame seeds.
  8. Stir for a few seconds and remove from heat.
  9. Add to pauva and mix thoroughly.
  10. Break papad in small pieces and combine with the pauva mixture.
  11. Let cool before storing.
