Schezwan Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tbsps Oil
- ½ Salt
- 5 cloves Garlic (make paste)
- 1 tsp Ginger paste
- ⅓ cup Onion (finely chopped)
- 3 tbsps Tomato purée
- 1 tbsp Green coriander (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- ¼ tsp Ground black pepper
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 2 tsps Vinegar
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat oil on medium heat.
- Add garlic and ginger paste, stir.
- Add onions and cook until transparent.
- Mix tomato and chili paste into the onions, cook for a couple minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
- Stir and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
Chili Paste
Ingredients
- 10 Dry red chilies (remove some of the seeds)
Instructions
- Soak chilies in ½ cup of hot water for 20 minutes.
- Drain and blend (use water if needed).
