Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps Butter
  • 2 tbsps All purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1½ cup Grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsps Jalapeño peppers (chopped, optional for nachos)
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, melt butter on medium heat.
  2. Add flour and salt and whisk until smooth (this is called a roux).
  3. Gradually add milk and continuously whisk until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add cheese and stir until melted.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add Jalapenos if desired.
