Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tbsps Butter
- 2 tbsps All purpose flour
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 1½ cup Grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsps Jalapeño peppers (chopped, optional for nachos)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt butter on medium heat.
- Add flour and salt and whisk until smooth (this is called a roux).
- Gradually add milk and continuously whisk until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Add cheese and stir until melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Add Jalapenos if desired.
