Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps Butter
  • 2 tbsps All purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ⅛ tsp Ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, melt butter on medium heat.
  2. Add flour and salt, whisk until smooth (this is called a roux).
  3. Gradually add milk and continuously whisk until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add pepper, mix and remove from heat.
  5. Note: Adjust the milk quantity for desired consistency of the sauce.
