Ingredients
  • 1 cup Mashed kand (purple yam)
  • 2 tbsps water (hot)
  • ¼ cup Ghee
  • 1 tbsp Cashew halves
  • 1 tbsp Golden raisins
  • ⅓ cup Sugar (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp Ground cardamom
  • 4 Almonds (sliced for garnish)
Instructions
  1. Peal, steam and mash kand.
  2. In a saucepan, melt ghee on low, sauté cashews and raisins for 30 seconds.
  3. Add kand, stir continuously until the ghee begins to separate and the kand is smooth.
  4. Add water, stir until absorbed.
  5. Add sugar and cardamom, stir until dissolved and thickened.
  6. Sprinkle sliced almonds, stir and remove from heat.
