Ingredients
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1½ tbsp Ghee
  • 2 Cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks (1 inch)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Green lilva or chhip
  • 3 cups Water
Paste
Ingredients
  • ½ cup Green coriander
  • 1 tsp Ginger (crushed)
  • 1 tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tsp Chillies (crushed)
  • 2 tsps Lemon juice
Instructions
  1. In a blender, add the paste ingredients and blend smooth.
  2. In a saucepan,melt ghee on medium heat.
  3. Add cinnamon, cloves and rice and sauté for one minute. Add lilva, salt, paste and water, stir.
  4. When it begins to boil, adjust heat to low.
  5. Cover and cook until the rice is cooked and all the water is absorbed.
  6. Stir a couple of times during cooking.
