Pizza
Pizza Base
Ingredients
- 2 cups All purpose flour
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 1½ tbsp Olive oil
- 1½ tsp Dried yeast
- 1 tsp Sugar
Instructions
- In ½ cup lukewarm water, soak sugar and yeast for about 10 minutes or until frothy.
- Combine oil with flour, add salt then add yeast mixture and bind to a soft dough.
- Use more warm water if needed.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth and a plate.
- Let rise in a warm place for at least 2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Place on a greased pizza tray, prick with a fork. Pinch the edges to form a crust (sprinkle cornmeal on the pizza pan, for a crispier crust).
- Preheat oven 450°F
- Knead dough on a floured surface and roll into a 12 inch circle.

- Pizza sauce (recipe under "Italian" or store bought)
- Grated cheese choice (mozzarella, Monterey jack, cheddar, Parmesan, goat, ricotta, etc.)
- Onions
- Bell peppers
- Tomatoes
- Mushrooms
- Olives
- Spinach
- Jalapeno
- Pepperoni
- Ham
- Chicken
Instructions
- Spread sauce on the pizza base and sprinkle grated cheese, place desired toppings.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning and more cheese if desired.
- Bake pizza for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
