Ingredients
  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup Corn starch
  • 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp Ground black pepper
  • ⅛ tsp Ground white pepper
  • ½ tsp Ginger (crushed)
  • ½ tsp Garlic (crushed)
  • ¼ tsp Ajinomoto
  • ¼ tsp Baking powder
  • Ice cold water (as needed or club soda)
  • 4 cups Vegetables (green beans, baby corn, eggplant, cauliflower, asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, spinach, etc..)
  • Oil (for frying)
Instructions
  1. Wash and evenly slice or cut the vegetables of your choice and pat dry. Set aside.
  2. Combine flour, cornstarch and baking powder.
  3. Mix the remaining ingredients to make a smooth thick batter.
  4. Heat oil on medium high.
  5. Dip vegetables in the batter, coat completely and deep fry until light golden.
  6. Remove onto a paper towel.
  7. Let cool slightly then re-fry for crispiness.
  8. Drain on a paper towel and serve.
