Ingredients
  • 1 cup Raw variali (or flaxseeds)
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsps Water
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl combine salt, turmeric and lemon juice with water and let salt dissolve.
  2. Place variali in a separate bowl and pour prepared water mixture over variali.
  3. Mix thoroughly to wet every seed and set aside for 15 minutes.
  4. In a microwave safe plate spread the variali, microwave on high for 5-7 minutes or until dry and crisp, stirring after each minute.
Variation - Roast Options
  1. Option 1: On low heat, roast variali or flaxseeds in a frying pan on the stove.
  2. Roast until dry and crisp, stirring continuously.
  3. Option 2: Roast variali or flaxseeds in oven on very low heat until dry and crisp.
