Gulab Jamun
Ingredients
- 1 cup Milk powder
- ¼ cup All purpose flour
- ¼ tsp Baking soda
- ¼ cup Milk
- 2 tbsps Ghee
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients and make a dough.
- Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
Syrup
Ingredients
- 1¼ cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tsp Rose essence
- ½ tsp Ground cardamom
- 3 strands Saffron
Instructions
- Combine the ingredients in a saucepan.
- Heat and bring to a boil, simmer on low heat to make a thin syrup, keep warm.
- Make small, smooth, marble sized balls from the dough.
- Heat oil on low and deep fry until browned evenly.
- Drain and add to the syrup, let absorb a little before serving.
