Fruit Salad

Ingredients
- 2 cups Whole milk (can use 1C milk and 1C half and half)
- 2 tbsps Custard powder
- ¼ cup Sugar (or to taste)
- ½ tsp Vanilla essence (optional)
- ¼ tsp Ground cardamom (optional)
- Saffron (a few strands)
- Fruit (finely chopped - not sour)
- Raw cashews (chopped - optional )
- Raw pistachios (chopped - optional)
- Raw almonds (chopped - optional)
- Walnuts (chopped - optional)
Instructions
- Dissolve custard powder in little warm milk.
- Dissolve saffron in little warm milk
- In a heavy bottom saucepan, bring milk to a boil. Reduce heat to low, stirring continuously,
- Add sugar and custard, simmer until thickened slightly.
- Add cardamom, saffron and essence. Whisk until thickened to a desired consistency, remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Add fruit and refrigerate.
- Sprinkle nuts on individual servings.
